IT’s not just for the boys! is an event for female students that gives an insight into technology careers with leading employers. Building on the success of the first event last year we are really pleased that the event will be taking place again. At the event you will be able to:

  • Network with recruiters, senior figures and recent graduates from the sponsoring firms.
  • Develop your skills to be a success at applications and interviews.
  • Get the inside view of the sector from industry experts.
  • Explore the range of technology careers open to you.


The event is taking place on Friday 4 November 2011 and will be hosted by Bloomberg at their offices in central London. All invited delegates will be sent full details and an itinerary in advance of the event, however as a guide the event will run from mid-afternoon to early evening and include:

  • Welcome and guest speaker
  • Skills workshop with graduate recruiters
  • Panel discussion with industry experts
  • Networking and drinks reception
     

Who can apply?

  • You must be a female undergraduate studying at a university in the UK or Europe.
  • You must be studying IT, computer science, maths, physics or engineering.
  • You must be able to demonstrate academic excellence.

How to apply?

Applications are now open via the online TARGETevents application form, click here. We encourage students to apply as soon as possible. You will need to complete a short application form and attach a cover letter and your CV. Your cover letter should include your motivations for attending the event.

Refreshments will be provided and a contribution towards travel expenses will be available.
